Month 6, Day 21: Blog in National Library Archive

Hi, The National Library of Australia has sent me a note requesting permission to archive Tic Toc Tic Toc to a Dying Clock the website, in its current and updated future form. Signing off the forms means” I would grant the library permission to retain my publications and to provide public access to them in perpetuity” Seems pretty cool, so its a yes.

I also was in touch today with Canberra regarding public process for the Dying with Dignity bill. They advised public submissions would close on the 21/8/2014 hearings would be after that and the final report would be delivered 27/10/2014. Close shave given my doctor prognosis is end date of 31/10/2014 :>

I made the point in email and a call, this was not good enough. 4 weeks to close off public submissions and no process was yet in place. They were great in responding in a further call this arvo saying delay was due to them expecting lots of responses and they were looking at setting up a template process. They advised it would all be public this week. Clearly a tardy start to a very important process and I did suggest it felt sinister but they said the response was sincere!

Had a great massage tonight, book one, Tiger White Sth Yarra Melbourne
